Just Friends played two VFW jobs this month, one in Dillsburg and one in Chambersburg. The above photos are from Chambersburg, the only two I got before my camera batteries died. Joreen took some pictures at Dillsburg, and they may appear later. We were shorthanded for both of these jobs, as PK was taking care of his lovely wife, who is recuperating nicely from surgery, but we soldiered on.
We enjoyed the Chambersburg show for several reasons: breaking out "Just a Gigolo" for the first time in a while; watching the patrons dance to just about everything we did; and singing "Happy Birthday" to our favorite manager (well, okay, our only manager) Jack.
Heads up to our fans who might be reading this: Just Friends will be appearing at the Verhovay May 4th. Although it's a private club, the public is welcome on band night. The Verhovay is a great club, nice folks, very affordable bar food and extremely reasonable drink prices considering there's a live band. Hope to see you then, if not sooner.
